LTI/TRIP/0001 · 1 day

About this trail
One of the most comprehensive industrial visits in India. Walk through an integrated steel plant that produces over 10 million tonnes of steel annually. You will observe raw material handling (iron ore, coke, limestone), blast furnace operations (1600°C plus ironmaking), Basic Oxygen Furnace steelmaking, and continuous casting through to the hot rolling mill. This visit is designed for metallurgy, mechanical and chemical engineering students who want to see large-scale ferrous metallurgy in action. Senior engineers from the host plant guide each group.
